Let me clear some things up.

(1) Although I wouldn't like it if Twilight Sparkle became an alicorn, that would not make me leave the brony fandom nor hate the television show. I would probably still like Twilight Sparkle as a character as well. However, I still don't like any kind of thing that makes Twilight even more powerful and special than she already is. She's already pretty far above the average unicorn and doesn't need anything to push her even further along that path. Part of the reason I made that comic was humor, so it shouldn't be viewed as an attack against anyone who supports the idea of alicorn Twilight (if you like that idea, that's fine with me. You're entitled to your opinion).

(2) I have never made the statement that I believe Twilight Sparkle is a Mary Sue. I said that she has symptoms of Mary Sue-dom. I don't believe that being a Mary Sue is a simple black-and-white classification; it is a sliding scale. There are also different classifications of Mary Sues, some of which Twilight does not fit at all. My main issues against her is her extreme variety of magical abilities when compared to other unicorns (teleportation, magic laser beams, force fields, transmutation of matter, behavior modification, creation and destruction of living things, starting fires, telekinesis of multiple objects, etc.), the extreme strength of her telekinesis (lifting an Ursa Minor with a water tower-sized "bottle" full of milk), being the star pupil of and having direct access to the ruler of all of Equestria, having ridiculous intelligence (such as calculating the square root of 546 in her head instantly), having a dragon as a close friend and sidekick (when dragons are exceedingly rare and poorly understood in general in pony society) and being the embodiment of "the most potent" Element of Harmony (as stated by Discord). I'm sure there are others, but this should be enough for now.

(3) After further reasoning and research, I doubt that Twilight Sparkle will become an alicorn any time soon after all.
